On Monday, August 5th, the Chamber hosted the Fall Coaches Breakfast, honoring the coaches for football, volleyball, cheerleading and the band directors for all four Crenshaw County Schools.  The breakfast was held this time at the Nutrition Center in Luverne and breakfast was prepared by Chamber Board members.  Each coach was asked to review his/her summer program and predict the fall sports/music season and everyone enjoyed listening to them.  Former Citizens of the Year Coach Glenn Daniel and Ray Hilburn, and Cuz Johnson from the Luverne City Council, came to enjoy the breakfast also.  This is one of our favorite events and we thank the Coaches for attending……our Spring Breakfast honors the coaches for baseball, softball, basketball, track and tennis and is held usually in March.
The Chamber will be working on plans for our Golf Tournament which supports our scholarship program for Belles and Beaus, helping with the BiCentennial display as needed and finalizing plans for the Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade, which this year will be a night event on the first Saturday in December.  More information on these events will be forthcoming in future newsletters.
The Chamber asks that you send us your special sale information, promotions or special event information so we can keep the Chamber membership informed.  As always, SHOP LOCAL is our motto and we encourage all members to patronize your local stores and services as much as possible.
