Open House & Ribbon Cutting                         

Physicians Choice Dialysis Center, 1014 S. Forest Ave, Luverne.                   Thursday, November 8, 2018 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Refreshments served !You are invited to come tour the facility and have a free health screening, blood pressure and blood sugar checks.

This Saturday, November 3 –  10 a.m. – Three In One Ministries is having a book signing with Michelle Gibbons, author from Prattville area.  Beth Rogers will host the event at the coffee shop and welcome center at 15 S.  Forest Ave, Luverne.  Refreshments will be served…. Local authors’ books for sale; paintings on display, some for sale; coffee and snacks – a welcoming, charming place to visit and spend some time.  Open daily at 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the present time, expanded hours coming.

And from LBWCC….Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Greenville is offering the “Great American Book Club” course. This course will meet Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, and April 9, 2019 from 6-7 p.m. in the Technology Building, Room 102….Zora Neale Hurston (1891-1960) was an Alabama-born influential author of African-American literature, folklore, and anthropology. “Their Eyes Were Watching God” is often recognized for Hurston’s unique vernacular. The book is set in rural Florida in the early 20th century, and is narrated in the third person uniquely revealing each character. This novel is an in-depth look into love and relationships, independence, spiritual fulfillment, and materialism. Please join a discussion with Mollie Waters, LBWCC English, Theater, and Speech instructor, and gain a new perspective. You don’t want to miss it.   Space is limited. The course fee is $29. Registration deadline is Dec. 20, 2018.
