Just a reminder of all the wonderful events in Crenshaw County during this holiday season.

from the Luverne Public Library….
Luverne Public Library is happy to announce that our 3rd annual Christmas Sweets & Treats (previously known as Taste of Christmas) will take place on Tuesday, December 11th in the Lt. Colonel James A. Watts Conference Room at the Library.

The Sweets & Treats extravaganza will start at 6 p.m.   Tickets are available for pre-purchase @ the LPL, from a Friend, or the night of at the door for the cost of $10.00. All proceeds will go toward future library programs and special events.
Start your evening off right by visiting the Library to taste all the wonderful goodies baked by your friends and neighbors…….what better way to keep warm at 6 p.m. and then again about 7:30 after the parade.  The Library is a special place, so don’t miss this annual event  !!!!

The annual Chamber Christmas Parade will be a NITE EVENT this year today , Dec. 11th. Lineup starts at 5 p.m….. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the parade will follow the same route as always……wear something really warm and snuggly and come enjoy our first night parade……then visit the Luverne Library for some wonderful chocolate goodies. About cars for queens……Parade starts at 6:30…line up for queens/cars starts at 5… If you are riding in a vehicle as a queen, court, etc. please go behind the old armory/old factory and line up on Fourth Street, parking the vehicle towards Franklin Avenue. I will be there a little after 5 to assist with line up order. Vehicles need to be there by 5:45, riders need to be there no later than 6:15. If you have any questions/concerns, please let me know.
