Luverne is host to the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, which has a long history of being well attended and a very long small town parade.  December 3rd was a beautiful day and many floats, trucks, fire engines, bands,  walking groups, equestrian groups, and Santa completed the several block walk.  Santa and Mrs. Claus were available for pictures at the Pavilion in downtown Luverne.  All parade entrants brought toys for DHR’s Toy Drive.  Over 100 motorcycles bring up the rear of the parade so they can go slow and hand over their toy contributions and this part of the parade is always thrilling.  This year the Shrine Club of Luverne entertained with their little cars.
