The Chamber hosted the fourth annual Taste of Luverne on June 2 at the Luverne United Methodist Church DEI Center, and the event was a huge success. Fourteen food and beverage businesses from across the county brought the best of their offerings to share with attendees as a means of advertising to encourage county citizens to shop and eat locally.

Door prizes donated by participating vendors and the Chamber were awarded to lucky attendees, who were selected by a random drawing, from the huge crowd of Chamber members and the general public.

The crowd was also entertained throughout the evening by Scott Fowler, a local favorite musician.  We hope that the event for  members and the general public  will be even better next year and we are  working on plans, so keep the first week of June open for great food.

Participating restaurants and food establishments include Sydney’s Catering, The Chicken Shack, Subway of Luverne, Mainstreet Sweets, Mattie’s, Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls, Bush’s BBQ, Hardees, The Dinner Table, Amazing Grace Café, Ramey’s, Pepsi of Luverne, Michael’s Southern Food and The Marathon Express Deli/Finnway Deli.  A grand time was had by all!!
